Welcome to Falconry Logs ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Falconry Logs (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. Your account data, birds, hunting logs, weight entries, and other user-generated content are stored on our backend servers. Communication between the App and our servers is secured using HTTPS and authenticated using JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with refresh token rotation.
Certain data is stored locally on your device for offline functionality and performance:
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Locally stored data (SQLite database, Secure Storage, AsyncStorage) is cleared when you log out of the App.
You can delete your account directly within the App. This will remove your personal data from our servers. To delete your account, go to Settings > Delete Account.
You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App.
You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. Note that some features (such as country auto-detection and enterprise site management) may be limited without location access.
You can manage camera and photo library permissions through your device settings. These permissions are required to upload bird photos, hunting log media, and profile pictures.
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you. To exercise this right, please contact us using the information provided in Section 11.

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to such countries.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or by other appropriate means. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest revisions were made. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
